2020 Summer Decks Series
The dates have been set for the Summer 2020 parties at the Dreamland Theater on Nantucket Island, but do to the COVID-19 virus the parties are on hold. As soon as this is over we’ll let you know the DJ line up.
Pete’s Bio
Starting out as a DJ back in 2000 Pete has grown into a producer, releasing tracks on Prison Entertainment & Piso Records. He has also become a prominent promoter for exclusive underground DJ events held in unique settings all over Nantucket (The Nantucket Whaling museum, The Nantucket Dreamland and Underground Locations).
Pete has DJ’d, promoted and organized parties for people like Nightmares On Wax, Ali Shaheed Muhammad (a tribe called quest), Rob Garza (Thievery Corporation), Andhim and Nickodemus.
In the coming years the plans are to keep it going. Bringing amazing A-List acts DJ / Producer talent in fitting locations on Nantucket that the fans and talent deserve.

NEW PROJECT THIS SUMMER: PETE X FLOYD
The local legend and mighty Floyd Kellogg and I have joined forces to put on a Dj and ableton live show.
Floyd comes from a world of Rock, reggae, blue grass, indie music, mixing, mastering, soundtracks & producing. He’s a drummer, bass player, lead guitar player and front man.. he does it all.
He’s recently been on tour with Andy Frasco & The U.N. He also is in local favorites Foggy Roots, You Scream I Scream & Buckle & Shake.
We will combine his talents with mine and weave them into my deep house and techno sound to create a live show that encompasses both worlds but keeps it in line with the underground dance music scene”

Mike Swells is a Boston-born, Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, and promoter. His musical stylings are diverse, encompassing a wide spectrum of genres, BPM’s, and emotions, depending on the moment. When it’s all boiled down, you’re left with groove-laiden house and techno.
Mike has DJ’d clubs and festivals across the U.S. and Canada, sharing the decks with tastemakers like Josh Wink, John Digweed, Recondite, Honey Soundsystem, and countless others.
Mike spent his last decade in Boston as resident DJ (and later, General Manager) of the famed RISE after-hours, He is currently a resident at Make It New in Cambridge, MA, and Sutherland in Brooklyn, NY.

New York’s house and disco evangelist Eli Escobar has been a familiar face on the city’s scene for the last two decades. Whether tearing it up at clubs across the capital (and beyond) or throwing down super-charged disco bombs on labels like Nervous, Strictly Rhythm, & Classic,
Escobar rarely steps out of his four-four beat. As one third of the Tiki Disco parties in Bushwick, as well as running his own Night People label, Escobar has been putting his own twist on the city’s house and disco soundtrack, joining the dots between yesterday’s golden era classics and today’s club anthems.

AUG. 21 @ THE DREAMLAND @ 6 PM // ALISON TARA // Sound Shelter // New York City
Growing up in New York City’s Soho area, the daughter of a painter and fashion designer, Alison Tara was raised on a diet of electronic music from the likes of Phillip Glass, Steve Reich, Laurie Anderson and Terry Riley. Trained in classical piano, voice, music theory, ear training & flute at the Manhattan School Of Music for 14 years,
Alison then left for college in California in the 90’s, where she quickly fell into the budding rave scene, especially the Wicked Crew’s legendary beach and full moon parties. The next logical step was to purchase a mixer and a pair of SL1200’s, followed quickly by a second-hand Juno 60 and a copy of Logic.
Moving back to NYC, Alison began to establish her reputation as a DJ to watch on New York City’s local club circuit, playing alongside such legends as Todd Terry and the Detroit Grand Pubahs. With a manager from Ministry of Sound, she played some very special underground Ministry of Sound parties in NY, and went on to play abroad, as far as Japan. Meanwhile, Alison became the Dance Music Buyer and Manager at taste-making vinyl shop Turntable Lab for ten years.
Starting her Dirty Trick Record label was the next natural step for her as she continues to take her profile to the next level. Dirty Trick has been getting support from the likes of Fred Everything, Dj Heather, Diz, and Justin Long. Having released her own original production with a remix by Brennan Green on her debut Dirty Trick release, Alison went on to drop Marko Militano’s classic “Turning Leaves,” and is now releasing Trademarq’s “Fort Dodge,” as a joint release with Bananza Records- with a remix by herself, as well as Lil’ Mark and Tanner Ross.

Alongside his trademark sound, Till von Sein exudes an aura of noble grandeur mixed with the genuine enthusiasm of a child with a favourite toy when he’s busy in the DJ booth. But Tilly’s toy, which in this case is house and its countless derivatives, won’t ever end up forgotten in the corner.
Long after the wrapping paper has been thrown away, what Till loves has yet to lose its magic. For von Sein, the sound of an 808 clap triggers a state of ecstasy, which in his hands emerges as pure euphoria on the dance floor. Time and again, his thumping transitions and heart-racing sets send listeners into overdrive, revealing the very core of house, soul and techno, while hitting on just what makes these genres so exciting.
Despite his intimate knowledge of the industry, which might allow him to slip easily into a been-there-done-that attitude, Till von Sein shows non-stop enthusiasm. For the last ten years, he has run the internationally active Clique Bookings at the side of Claudia Marquardt. More recently, his work as a producer has grown to encompass a vast catalogue of releases on labels such as Suol, Dirt Crew and Supplement Facts. He has collaborated with artists such as Tigerskin, Aera, Chopstick and Catz’n’Dogz, and his DJ work has long been a fixture in the international club scene.
After his 2011 solo album “#LTD” (Suol), von Sein enjoyed a fully booked calendar and successful tour through South Africa, Japan, USA and Europe. He continues to ride a wave of success. In 2013, he released his personal contribution to the Suol Mates mix series, and further EP releases are in the works. Upcoming projects for 2014 include a new solo album and a project with producer and friend Tigerskin.
